It's day one of our family adventures and we couldn't be more excited. Here it is, late March, and when we woke up today, our world was covered in a glorious white blanket of snow.
I love how God knows just how to bless us and this crazy undertaking we are embarking on.
When we woke up Papa Smurf and Bumble-Bee were covered in a beautiful blanket of snow.
Where we are now, and what is to come ...
Right now we are in Moses Lake, Washington at my parents' house. We have to wait until June before we can pick up the trailer we purchased. We found the exact make and model that we have wanted and we purchased it at a great deal.
Here's how it all happened.
Rhett found the Grey Wolf Bunkhouse trailer online, hit when we started calling around no one on the West Coast had the ability to buy or sell it as the states out West didn't have the rights to sell that brand of trailers yet.
So, we started calling back East, figuring we could just drive out and pick it up. Well, we found the make of trailers, but the model was discontinued. We were just about to give up when a dealer in Walcott, Iowa, called us and said that they had just bid on a lot of 200 trailers that were ordered for the oil fields in South Dakota. The order was rejected because of a change in the oil contract, and the RV dealer bought the auction lot at a great deal and now had 200 brand new trailers to sell at $100 over cost. They had ONE trailer of the make and model we were searching for and he would reserve it just for us if we committed to it now. The trailer would be at the dealership and ready to pick up in June.
Of course, we bought it on the spot. Not only was it the make and model we were searching for, but the present deal saved us over $25,000 on the purchase price.

Once again, our decision to sell everything we owned and take this crazy adventure of a lifetime with our kids was being blessed by God.
