Senior Project Coordinator/Audit Manager, State and Local Transpiration, Performance Audit

• Responsible for a range of functions including planning, managing, conducting and reporting the results of performance audits of state and local governments in accordance with Government Auditing Standards (Yellow Book), Initiative 900, and the State Auditor’s Office internal policies and procedures.

Responsible for developing, maintain and managing client and contractor relationships.

Responsible for providing professional and technical advice on a range of audit issues.

Responsible for the completion of audits within approved budgets and timetables.

Provide leadership and support to subordinate staff, including reviewing performance and providing professional guidance and performance feedback.

First line supervisor for audit staff, directing the Auditor’s-In-Charge and audit staff on assigned audits including large and complex financial, single ad compliance audits of local and/or state government entities.

Planned, organized, assigned and reviewed the work activities of subordinate ASA’s.

Responsible for monitoring audits in progress to ensure that budget, audit timeliness, State Auditor’s Office Policy and Procedures and quality control standards are met.

Prepared and presented oral presentations to local and state government executive management.

Mentored staff including performance development plans and individual performance appraisals. I managed personnel concerns with staff including individual performance appraisals.

• I played a key role in the establishment, implementation and successfulness of the Washington State Auditor’s Office Performance Audit Division. I was one of the first 5 people brought into the division to assist in its creation and organization.
